    hp dv2000 drivers for win7

    I recently changed my os to win7, but now some devices are not working(finger print scanner, webcam). i searched a lot for their drivers, but i'm tired.... please sombody help me.... i want quickplay driver also(hp pavillion dv2000)

    Vista drivers should usually work, they are easier to find.

    Search HP site for CTO models, look under your laptop for exact model (such as 2112 or 2512 and then search for 2100 or 2500 series CTO. Those driver sites should then include all drivers for certain series.

    Second method works for sure but has more work. In the device manager open the unknown devices, check their properties for Hardware Id's. Do a google search for VID_ and PID_ values and you'll see what the device is. Then it's easier to search drivers, you will probably find links to forums where people talk about different laptop models than yours and you can use those drivers.

    When I was using DV2000 with Windows 7, most of the drivers came within Windows Updates. Rest of few like finger print device, I downloaded them from other than hp site.
