ok so i was gonna switch out my sata hard drive from my ps3 to my sata hp dv2225nr hard drive. i didn't need 120 gig on my laptop and wanted to put it in my ps3. it looks like the connectors don't look the same. i would've given it a try hadn't i stripped all the ps3 hard drive screws trying to get it out of the caddy. i was more focused on if i would be able to even switch it out. what's with the connection of the hp hard drive. it doesn't look like it would align with the ps3 hard drive at all.

HP usually use an adaptor to connect the HDD to the SATA connector on the MB. You should able to pull them out and reveal the standard SATA pins.

Sometimes manufacturers use proprietary connectors so it won't fit into any other.
