my friend turned off my laptop by pressing the power button once then we went somewhere for like 2 hours then when we came back we couldnt turn it on for some reason. the pc was blinking (the power button and the power light), but when we pressed the power button it wouldnt turn on.
HELP PLEASE
-
-
is it just in sleep mode ? and if so has it eaten the battery ? how about recharging ?
-
hold down the power button until all of the lights on the laptop turn off
then, plug it into power and it should turn on normally -
i can't do that anymore because when the lights were flashing i couldnt even turn off the lights then...
so we took the battery and put it back in but it still wont turn on at all
no lights no nothing
just the charger light -
have you tried pushing one of the quickplay buttons to turn it on?
-
yes we did
still didnt work -
anyone? please? I really need to make sure it can turn on because i have so much valuable stuff on it like music.... 20 gigs of it.
-
can you give us a list of everything you've tried so far?
-
i've tried (ever since i took out the battery WHILE it was the pc was blinking):
putting the battery back in and turning it on, still doesnt turn on.
pressing quickplay buttons
pressing fn combinations
i dont know what else i could possibly do because it just will not turn on. its so weird.
it went like that when my friend "turned it off" by pressing the power button once then closing the lid
we left for like 3 hours and came back to see it blinking. we tried turning it on but it wouldnt so then we took out the battery and then put it back in, then tried to turn it on but it still wouldnt go on... -
take out the battery and just use the AC power
-
tried that. didnt work
-
ok, so when you plug your laptop into the wall (with the battery in)
which lights on the laptop are lit? -
the only light that is lit is the charger light when the charger cord is put into the charger port.
nothing else is lit. -
yeah i think you need to get it checked out by hp
