    how to update graphics driver on dv6? my games are all lagging on high performance mode

    To update the driver, go onto the HP website, search for your DV6 model, choose your OS and you'll find all the drivers for the laptop.
    As for all your games lagging, try turning the settings down first then see how it goes.

    can you update the drivers by downloading the drivers directly from the manufacturer (AMD/ATI) or must they be from HP?

    Update to HP latest AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver ► 2011-11-18 , Version:8.882.2.3000, 338.97M

    Yours is 6000 series or 6100 series? If 6100 series, set the switching method in BIOS to FIXED for better control of the GPUs.

    HD6770M can handle DN smoothly.
    Cannot download directly from AMD website but you can use official driver from AMD. Just find it in Guru3D forum or subscribe to Leo@Asder00 twitter.
