    hp dv6000 and compaq f550 battery compatibility

    Hi, i need to check if my battery is broken and a friend of mine has a compaq f550, boths have 6cell batteries, will te hp run on the compaq's battery??

    try to plug it in. if it fits without force then thers no problem. also make sure both batteries are same voltage (the batteries have safety locks so that u cant plug in the wrong battery. so it will work if it goes in normally)

    I'm thinking not. If memory serves, the f550 is based off of the V5000 and shares the same battery (which is not the same as the dv6000/f700).
