    does anyone have a pavilion dv6700t. im thinking of getting it and i would really appreciate it if someone can tell of any experiences they have had. is there really a fan nosie sound, is there anything i can do to fix it without sending it to the back. if so is there the same problem with the dv2700t. which one do u guys recommened

    I just got mine yesterday with the following specs:

    dv6700t
    t7250
    2gb
    160gb
    8400m

    I was thinking about returning it and getting the dell vostro which can be configured better for about the same price..... but....... so far I really like this laptop. The HDMI is a great feature along with the remote control.

    I have not had a lot of time to fool with it but so far so good! I do not notice any abnormal fan noise yet but if I do I will be sure to post...

    BTW, I picked mine up from hp.com for $815 after tax. That is including an employee discount of about 70 bux since I work at Best Buy. Word of advice, when I told them I worked at Best Buy they didn't ask me any questions they created an EPP site for me to purchase from so you may want to try something like that...

    I have been using the 600m, which is a 3 yrs old laptop.
    My 600m is so much quieter than my new DV6700t

    AFAIK , the main differnce between these 2 is the graphic ram , the DV6700T has 256mb gddr2 and the DV2700T has the 128mb GDDR3.

    Besides that , there is no clear difference but my local HP sale person told me the DV6700 has the better newer LCD technology as with all 15.4 inch lappies , I dont know if this guy is honest or real, but I think many of 15.4 inch HP models have better LCD brightness than the 14.1 DV2700T models.

    Only one problem with the HP Pavillion notebooks is the LCD resolution , very low resolution at best, it is quite bright and contrasty though.

    NOTE : never get a Samsung LCD , I returned my first one with Samsung.
