    hp dv6t quad: HD already full, but don't know how?

    Ok this is really odd to me..

    Has anyone seen there hard drive say it is full or nearing full in windows 7? I do have a few programs that are large, but I don't have any movies, games, or other programs that take up huge space... I have tried cleaning windows temps and shadow points, but I still have about 200gb that are vanished according to the windows explorer and properties....

    Makes me think one of two things are going on:

    1) hd is crapping
    2) windows 7 doesn't know space constraints well in drives


    Anyone have this problem or solution ideas? My last dv7 (the first one that was stolen) only had a 500gb drive on it and after three years I barely had 200gb of stuff... So I am not a heavy drive user by any means. Sign, looking to see if others are running into the same problems.

    Nevermind... Found it! VHD image taking up 350gb of space... thats a little big don't ya think!

    Nice. I am sure that would have scared me too seeing a bunch of space missing. The last thing I would want to do this week would be reformat.
