I'm about to buy one with similar specifications. (no FHD is available here) :(
so beside average display (which is my only option here) do you think the keyboard is this bad?? it is really spongy!! I had to work on this keyboard, so this very important to me

the keyboard doesn't bother me on mine, and doesnt seem spongy, but i'm not the PICKIEST of people when it comes to that (as long as the flex isnt uber noticable im good) and also i kind of feel from hearing from people that its kind of luck of the draw with keyboard? i think individual units vary in how flexy it is?

Thats a very good review. But yea i think the keyboard and the screen quality are luck of the draw. So hopefully mines wont have those issues when it arrives.

That is a detailed review, but it is of a model that is no longer for sale unless you find some leftovers on store shelves or at outlets. The new model has different switchable graphics and a much better display. The keyboard is luck of the draw, but you can fix it. Apparently, some of them were not assembled properly (see this thread for details).

Hmm that's weird that they gave the keyboard such a bad rating. The feel of the keyboard on the dv6t is SIGNIFICANTLY better than that of all the other laptops I've owned (gateway m152xl and asus g73).

I like the feel of the keyboard, but I wish it was more spaced out(remove the keypad). it is kind of uncomfortable to type on, I end up doing most of the typing with just two fingers instead of the whole hand :(

As for the performance in BFBC2, I wish mine was that good :O

The keyboard isn't that bad, but its not the greatest. Its the most annoying thing ever to miss a key, and it does that once in a while. I really don't think that you should look at the keyboard as a reason to not buy this laptop. Sure, its not perfect, but it works fine.
