    hp dv7 memory and nvidia shared system memory issue

    i have a dv7 laptop with a 64-bit vista. and a 4 gb ram.
    at system info in control panel it show the full 4gb.
    but in the task manager it only show 3068 mb total memory.
    why is there is such difference..

    2) the nvidia 9600m gt.. used to read a total of 2303 mb but now it reads 1790 mb.. total and shared of 1278mb.
    please can any body answer me...
