    hp dv9640us cant hear microphone in speaker

    Hello I updated my realtek driver and windows vista but I have not been able to find out how to hear the microphone in the speaker as I speak into the mic. Anyone who can help, please do. Thanks.

    ok I updated it to this » Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver
    03-2008 6.0.1.5548 A » Version: 18.28M
    but I still don't know how to hear my voice as it's being recoreded. Thank you for your time.

    Use MSN messenager and you should be able to hear yourself in the webcam setup in tools .. options

    my mic is not even sensitive enough.
    instead of my voice, i get really strong static noise (like when you tune into a bad channel on older tv)

    Sorry, I installed im 8.1 and in the setup for audio and video setup I didin't see anything that allowed me to hear what was coming in from the microphone.
