    Hi there,

    I have HP Envy 4-1256er laptop (14").

    product code : D2G49EA#ACB

    cpu is intel core i5-3337U

I've bought it in 2013. I didn't manage to find according thread here to such laptops, as normal envy 14 threads are about laptops with cd-rom devices, mine looks like HP spectre, but it has plastic bottom cover and display resolution is 1366*768.

LCD here is "LUCOM Display" F2140WH2-A41CA1-A, it has 40 pin connector (but not all of the 40 pin are used in cable between it and laptops MB: I see 3gray, 11green, 1orange, 1red, 1white, 1brown wires, and one huge brown wire connected to connector itself).

    1) I wonder what will be the best replacement for this panel (I'm looking for matte IPS panel if exists)?

    2) Can I use LP140WF1 SPK1 1920*1080 IPS panel or it is not compatible ?

    Thanks in advance

So far I've bought 1600*900 lcd panel from HP SPECTRE 14-3000. It works but only every second vertical line of pixels on it shows image, hardware has determined panel it shows correct resolution, backlight works (and controlled), but only every second vertical lines work... It seems to me that the LCD cable has obly one channel of LVDS signals, as I mentioned in first post my cable has too few wires in it. I've taken a look to mobo and saw all LVDS connectors pins soldered to the MB.

The question is - how to make dual channel 40pin LVDS cable, from my 40pin single channel LVDS, or it is possible to buy one (from HP spectre 14 1600*900 perhaps) somewhere?
