I have a hp mini 110 that I purchased refurbished in January (so the warranty has expired). The netbook will not power on. The day prior to not powering up, I noticed that the battery was not charging but the netbook was still on. It was running soley off the battery. I purchased a new AC adapter and I replaced the power circuit board, but I still cannot get the netbook to power up. Upon installing the new power circuit board the charge light on the netbook would flash, but still no power. What else could be the problem?

1] can it be powered without the battery with the plug?
2] download battery meter by osiris devt - check if the batt's wear and if it's accepting charging -
no it will not power on by electrical power. i do not think that it is the battery. i believe that the battery is dead. the day before the netbook stopped powering on, i noticed that the battery was not charging ( the netbook was operating soley on battery power not electrical). i dont know what else to look for. i am new at this. i only paid $200 for it and dont want to spend much more to have it repaired because i can just buy a new one instead.
