I have an HP mini 5101 bought on November 2009. The computer is great, I truly like it very much. But less than a year after I bought it, the machine got a crack on the keyboard frame. It was located right above the fan vent. The problem was fixed by HP, as the warranty was still valid.
But the same problem appeared again two weeks ago: same crack, same location.
The keyboard still works well, but would like to know if anyone else had the same problem.
    Thanks for your input.

You're not the only one. Back then I did some searching and that did happen to many users.

I had my 5101 break shortly after I bought it, had it repaired under warranty no problem. Some time after the right side frame was a little bit loose so I was afraid it might break again. I did sell the computer before it could break again.

Thanks very much for the reply.
I wonder if there is a way to document the fact that there is an issue with the keyboard. People at HP claim that is not a documented issue and hence I will have to cover the repair on my own (at this time the machine is out of warranty).
    Thanks.
