    does anyone know what is this?

    this conunicate below was in blue screen just before my laptop restarted:

    a problem has been detected and windwos has been shut down to prevent damage t your computer.
    if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. if this screen sppears again, follow these steps:
    check to be sure you have adeuate disk space. if a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. try changing video adapters.
    check with your hardware vendor for any bios updates. disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable componenets, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

    Well, here's a few questions that might help...

    1) Do you have any other ATI products that are used with the notebook.
    2) Do you OC the card?
    3) What drivers are you using.
    4) Install Everest Home Edition...what are your CPU temps (the CPU and GPU are so close together in this machine that the reading is about right)?

    Here's a few things to try:
    1) Turn off OC if you are.
    2) Follow the graphics drivers update instructions in the Gaming forum sticky and reinstall the HP drivers and non the third party or ATI drivers. HP's current version is 6.11 I think.
    3) If it is running above 75C, you probably need to clean your air vents (see Cooling Guide). If that doesn't help, you may need to contact HP to have your heatsink and/or fan replaced.
    4) What was the last thing you did to the notebook that could potentially mess with that game or your drivers? Uninstall it and see if the problem persists.
