Are you still getting the BSOD?

i have that kind of problem too...

it says something like error on 'mtsysdata.exe' or something like that on my machine. always a memory dump whenever i open various programs that use large amounts of ram (limewire, yahoo messenger, firefox, mcafee enterprise scan on background, word etc... even sony vegas 6) while having only 1GB ram.

then on my restart, the error report generated tells me that the problem was the antivirus... mcafee enterprise 8.0, which is old and uses atleast 35MB of RAM. :)

also, i uninstalled limewire... because mcafee always catches backdoors/trojan-wannabees created by P2P. i installed ARES instead. more reliable and safer. :p

I experienced this problem on my NX8220. Try reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling Windows, without installing too much unnecessary or suspicious software. If the problem persists, then it may very well be a hardware problem. In my case, the systemboard needed to be replaced.

by the way, i think that was mvstdi5x.sys that showed up on my BSOD :)

hope your laptop gets well soon

edited... i've searched my files... that file was associated with my antivirus. maybe you should list down or try to get a snap shot of your BSOD so that we can know the problem.
