I recently installed new drivers on my laptop a few days and finally upgraded the bios.

I thought the laptop was fine. I also updated the soundmax drivers.

Last night just as I was ready to sleep the network began to act very strange. My wi-fi, would connect but I would get NO connectivity. so I checked my other computers and their wi-fi was totally fine.

I tried using some qwest including diagnostic program and it noted that there was a network problem--it "fixed" it and rebooted my computer

Computer rebooted into 640x480 4 color mode! and it would not CHANGE! I had to make use the Intel 945 graphics driver was properly loaded at startup. That fixed THAT..

still network would connet to my wi-fi but no connectivity and no ping on the testing...I tried plugging in ethernet and that also got a connection and a normal IP address but no connectivity!

So uninstalled both from the device manager, then rebooted, then re-installled both. The computer taking a while to reboot--found the hardware and re-installed the ethernet no prob--the wi-fi it tried to insall some minipak dynamic network performance boost crap--windows warned it was not certfiied--installed it--network still hosed---DISABLED it from device manager and got function back!

Then this AM tried to hit the blue wi fi button and then it wouldnt turn back on! UGH!

I am getting rid of the november intel wi fi drivers and going back to the old stuff, but anyone else have any ideas?
