    hp ny9420 dvd burning problem

    hi all,

    I have Hp n9420 laptop and i have some problems burning my cds and dvd. I have nero and when i am burning dvds in take at least one and a half hour to burn one on 8x speed and also computer gets really slowly. Does anybody know what is the problem?

    Check in the device manager if the IDE channel for the DVD/CD drive is stuck in PIO mode. If it is then delete the affected IDE channel and reboot the PC. Windows should automatically detect and install the necesary drivers. The affected IDE channel should now be running in Ultra DMA mode and then check your burn speed.
