hey I just ordered the dv4000 a week ago and I got an email saying that they shipped it but the tracking number for fedex that they gave me isn't working. Has anyone else had this experience? I tried looking for a number to call HP but none of them seem to apply. Thanks.

It may take hour or two to show up on fedex site - when they scan package. They ship more than 1 Item in lot of 1 Shipment and than once it arrives in TN, they will ship they individually to they final destination. You will be able to see estimated delivery date once it enters usa, until than you will be able to see that your package is picked up.. till reaches in usa, 2 stops on way.

ok well I've had the tracking number from fedex for a day now and it doesn't even say where it is. I get this,"Not found No information for the following shipments has been received by our system yet. Please try again later or contact Customer Service."

try calling fedex directly see what they says. Lot of times I noticed they can track status from their tracking service even though it doesn't show up on fedex.com. here is number for fedex 1.800.463.3339

well, probably will have to wait. It won't get lost or anything, only thing can happen is delay of day or two. It might not be scanned or picked up yet. As far as delivery time, I had no problem with fedex in past, so don't have to worry at all about it being lost since there will be 40-50 more laptops in that container so hp will take care of it.

Its normal.. It means that the package has been weighed and a tracking number has been assigned, but it has not yet been scanned into FedEx's system as FedEx hasn't receive the package yet. Its probably still sitting inside the building where the laptop was assembled. It will probably sit there until Monday. I had a similar thing happen to me. On monday or tuesday, it will say that the package has been picked up by FedEx and has been scanned into the system at blah blah location. At that time, the weight, size, destination, shipping from, and shipping to information will be tied to the tracking number.
