    can anyone help please i have a pavilion dv9820ea laptop i just installed xp and need some drivers.
    im missing the wireless atheros driver graphics card and some other things base system drivers audio drivers anyone able to help please .am tearing my hair out here trying to find them .
    laptop to go website scanned my pc but you have to pay for the drivers .

    Read the stickys. There is a compiled XP driver pack there

    could you point me in the right direction please as i did look through the sticky but the driver i downloaded did not work . i managed to get the wirless drivers but its the other stuff i need .

    no mate that links is for intell chip i blieve and i have the amd chip. i have all the drivers now mainly jut a few things missing. when i installed the ricoh card reader drivers it still has question mark on ricoh mmc host controller and there is question mark on OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 host controller. also when i pesss function+f6 the laptop does not lock.

    any help hear would be apreciated thanks

    Sorry i thought you had an intel model. Have a read at this instead.

    You need to install the quick launch button drivers to use the FN key functions

    the firewire drivers should be coupled with the memory card reader drivers

    do you know if i should of done anything with my bios as that is still like it was on vista . f 30 i believe

    No, BIOS version wouldnt really matter. You just need the right drivers. Do you know what brand your memory card reader/fireiwre is?

    Is it RICOH?

    I have the same problem, can't get the firewire to work. I believe it is Ricoh, yes.
