the print screen option does not work
On "help desk" advice I have uninstalled keyboard drivers and reinstalled them - no good
I have seached hp for updates for drivers - I have the latest ones and the keyboard is "apparently" working properly.
other forums have suggested pressing fn key - I don't appear to have one.
some of the other function keys don't appear to do anything but some eg f5 inserts date and time
I have no idea what the icons on some of the keys mean eg (sun and arrow up or down) so don't know what they should do

you have to press the fn key (it is located between the ctrl and windows keys)
and press printscreen at the same time

    Hi v3locity2.0,
I know this was an old post; hope you're still around. I too have the print screen problem and have tried your solution many times without success. I've held down the FN key on my HP Pavilion notebook/XP Pro, and tapped the prt sc/insert button, but never have anything in my copy buffer to paste.

My mouse control panel has a setting for jumping to the active button in a dialog box, but it never remembers this between login sessions. I wonder if they're related?

Any help on the print screen issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Todd

    - Out of curiosity, what program are you trying to paste into?
    - Does the image show up in your clipboard viewer? (Start>Run clipbrd.exe)
