I don't know if this belongs in this forum, but If I were to purchase a dv6 online and get a relative from US to bring it to Canada would it still have a warranty? And if it did not have the warranty, would it be too troublesome to ship it back to HP US to get it fixed if problem arises? Will this laptop, quad edition, with 1080p screen and dedicated amd 6770m graphics every make its way to Canada? There is a version in futureshop, but its only has a standard screen with integrated graphics. I doubt if I get it from US now that I can just send it to HP Canada to get it fixed, so will the benefits out way the risks?

I am thinking of getting this laptop shipped through someone to canada or get it delivered to a warehouse across the border and pick it up from there. I called HP and they said the warranty will be valid anywhere in the world as long as there are hp centers there.

Where are hp centres in Canada? Will replacements of parts be covered or just any physical blemishes?
