The ProBook 6545b with Turion II and Radeon 4200 integrated graphics is "coming soon", probably on the Win7 launch date next week. It looks like a decent choice.

Don't know, wouldn't think so, but the 45nm Turion II is a significant improvement over the 65nm Turion in terms of heat output. Getting Win7 preloaded will save you some time. But if you can get a good deal on the older model by all means consider it.
