    hi guys,

I just wanted to let you guys know of this rebate reduction deal HPshopping is doing. When you build a notebook on HPshopping the mail-in rebate on the cart reads $50 off. However, the terms and conditions of the $100 mail-in rebates (as far as I can see) will also apply to personalized HP pavillions notebooks. Look closely before purchasing. And if anyone can tell me why HP offers its rebates in this fashion, I would like to know

    Thanks

The HP web site is confusing. I noticed this same problem around the 1st of the month. They made some changes to features and prices. They now show a $50 mail rebate, however if you click on 'mail in rebate' you find a lengthy list of $100 rebate coupons that are good through September (7th I think).

It seems to me HP will have to honor the coupons.
