Your supposed to make the recovery disks BEFORE the clean install.

i already have the recovery disk from hp but if i use them then everything will be installed. the bloatware etc.
i was hoping to create recovery disk for my clean installed version of vista so if acronis true image fails then i can go back to a clean install free of bloatware rather than going back to full factory install then having to do a clean install again .

i dont see how its possible to make recovery disc for a clean install if it has not already installed

sorry will try make myself clear.

i have a copy of windows vista anytime . what i want to do is create recovery disk that have all my drivers install too. so i dont have to install them separatly after installing vista like in a clean install.
    hope that makes it clearer.
    thanks

Ah i see. Theres no built-in option that lets you that kind of stuff. You should have created a backup image of your HD after you just did a clean install and installed the drivers.

Though you can create a similar type of recovery disk using vLite. The drivers need to be slipstreamed into a modified Vista Disc that you burn. This disc will enable you to do a clean install with the drivers already pre-installed.

The HP recovery software doesn't have the capability to backup any other installation other than what it was intended to do in the first place, create recovery discs using the HDD based partition.

You can make a disk image of your drive with Acronis and store it on a DVD, NAS, or USB hard drive. The Acronis disk is bootable and will allow a restore from and external drive.

Also, if you register your copy of Acronis on their website, you can have access to the full download of the program as well as updates.

After creating an image with Acronis and after burning to DVDs use Acronis' verification function to check the images.
