After about one weeks use, my cursor started going out of control. As I try to move the cursor, it snaps back to the left side of the screen.. Sometime in milliseconds, sometimes after a second or two. Same problem exists whether mouse or touchpad. At about the same time I also lost touchscreen capability. Any ideas?

i have a similar problem too. when my notebook gets to warm sometimes my cursor wont move for a bit, including scroll. but after a while it starts working again. same problem with vista and xp. but its ok in normal temp.

so your problem is definitely not hardware because you said you tried a mouse. so maybe you can check your control panel>mouse/keyboard
