    Hi All,

I'm having trouble with the usb ports on my laptop. I did the clean install from the guide on this page, reinstalled drivers, updated drivers from the hp site as well as running the hp update software and yet my computer still wont work properly. Whenever I plug in a usb device it the warning bubble informs me that "the device would run better if attached to a quicker usb port". I was able to track down a recommendation to update vista patch/fix but I cant seem to locate that link now. I really am at my wits end since I have to transfer 20GB worth of files and I'm not looking forward to transferring it over with a downgraded driver.

    Side note:

Is there anyway to search through a particular post as opposed to sitewide. I wanted to search through the vista clean install thread but couldn't locate how to do that.

On my confirmation email there was alot of background tasks happening. Scripts were running that locked up my browser and wanted to know if this happened to anyone.

    Thanks in advance.
