I got the build to order laptop (in my sig). If prices change within 30 days, could I get a difference back?

You can return it within their window, I don't know what that is, but it should be a few weeks. Rather than take it back, they'll opt to give you a credit.

Yes - the return period is 30 days, correct. HP is good with returns.
If there is a Costco near you, I'd recommend getting the notebook from them - they have a 6-month return policy. -
It's a little late, but for other HP shoppers who might read this thread: you can also get a 3% cash back from online HPshopping.com purchases by signing up for FatWallet.

i believe the return period is now 21 days.

I don't really want to return. I'm having too much fun with it. I just wanted to know if, within the 30 days, get a refund of the difference incaes prices drop. For example, if the hard drive becomes cheaper, I could get a refund difference if I called them.

I think you are pushing their generosity too far

I think this may be what you are referring to:
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/terms.do
HPshopping.com reserves the right to change prices at any time. Should we lower the price of the product you purchased, you may call 1-888-999-4747 within 30 days of receiving your order to request a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the current hpshopping.com selling price. This excludes mail-in rebates and instant rebates, which are not part of this price protection.
Hope it helps! -
woooooww thanks my friend. You are awesome!

Thanks, but not really...
I just purchased a zv6000 today, and made sure I read and printed all the terms/conditions....
Good luck!

Looks like it came down $63. Only thing though is that they are not offering the free 512mb ram upgrade any longer, so I kept it at 256. Everything else I kept the same. I'll give them a call in a while
