hi, i just received the notebook and am very happy with it. I have noticed that when i shut down the computer, and when the blue 'windows shut down screen' appears, there is a small circle area near the top left edge that appears lighter in color than the rest of the blue screen. However, when i am using my computer i do not notice this issue at all....any thoughts on what this could be and if its considered a flaw or even a 'returnable flaw'? tia!

I think you'll find that's actually part of the XP splash screen on shut down, supposed to look like a sunspot. I'll confirm this next time I shutdown my machine!

I think that abaxter is right about the splash screen. I have seen that on my zd7000 and thought my 17" screen was broke. Then I just relized that microsoft just can't make sun spots
