thats to bad. I would wait for it to die if its not already dead and still see if its a problem. i think leaving it in there would probably be better than risk damaging the screen if you were to atempt to take it apart.

Wow, call for customer support and see whatsup. That's definately a quality issue as the screen is suppose to be sealed. Usually if there's dust, its from inside it, and that happen, but an ant had to have come from outside.

    lol...

Try to vacuum it out. Get the wand and try to form a seal around it with your hand and then put it on the edge (?) of the screen....

Heh, i don't have an ant yet but i do have a speck of dust that has always been there since i bought the laptop. However my Toshi Portege 4010 used to have TONS of dust, on a white background it was just riddled with grey dots, so the process of display fabrication has obviously improved. :p

If the ant has died, call HP support, I'm sure the indians will send you out a new ant ... but you'll pay for shipping ...

Try air to blow it out,

    hahahaha, damn i forgot pictures!
well, it appears to have either crawled out from this sealed screen again somehow or died in a corner i cant see it in. im sure if i wait long enough another will find its way in.

when i told my dad about it his first comment was "sounds like your computer has a bug.." i almost cried at how bad that joke was.

lol. This is a good thread. I have heard of all sorts of crazy things in desktop systems, but nothing in a laptop before. I as going to suggest you bust out the magnifying glass and get to burining ants :)
