    It seams as if the processor is not right... it is showing up as a 4.6 on the windows experience index... I saw a 1st get i5 that got about 6.9... why is it wooping my second gen i7????? btw it was a cheap i5

    Is it on battery only? Have you retested it while on AC? How about the power setting?

    the baterie wasnt even pluged in... (as in only running off of the wall power) also i looked through the batterie settings

    I'm learning its not just the processor....there are other factors like ram, and a biggie is the HD. I know SSDs get much higher scores!
    Look at the breakdown of the scores, the 4.6 is the limiting factor..so whatever device shows you 4.6 that is what you have to upgrade to get a higher score. That i5 could have had lots of ram, SSD, high end GPU, etc...just saying... :) Good luck sorting it out. Worst case scenario you did not get the components you thought or maybe there is a defect...

    mostly likely explanation was that you were on power save mode. run the WEI again on high performance mode.
