im running the HP xp recovery disk and it seeem to be working, but says about 7 hrs to complete.
problem or normal?
I read all the guides here, but am still a bit confused.
I slipstreamed SATA drivers into Xp disk, but when I tried to install it gave a message about looking at a sector, and was stuck there forever. I finally rebooted and shut of the NATIVE SATA in the bios, then ran install again.
So XP installs and boots, and SATA driver is installed, but if I switch NATIVE on now in bios, then BSOD on next boot.
UPDATE: Seems the best way for me is to leave SATA enabled in bios, slipstream SATA into XP and reinstall. I used an XPSP2 disk. I tried the other methods fist, and this is the only one that worked for me, and it's perfect now.

ALSO
I slipstreamed SATA and some other drivers and my laptop boots and all, but XP has a YELLOW! and unknown device says:
Device Type: Other Debvices
Manufacturer: Unknwon
Location: on Intel 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interfac
Did I miss a driver? Which one?
(hp v6000t)
UPDATE: Solution below in my next email.

Sounds like you basically burned a bad ISO, or the slimstreaming didn't go off well. Did you use nLite or did you slipstream by hand?
im confused (XP install)
