    I would like to replace 5400 satas with a 7200 satas on both laptops I have.
    I have replaced hd's in thinkpads but no experiance with hp/compaqs.
    Easy Job? (refrerring to harware install not software)

    Yes...replacing the hard drive is not very difficult.
