So I made a clean install of windows and want to install the drivers and tools from the HP dvd. The problem is, that everytime I do that, some of the drivers don't get installed and I end up with those yellow exclamation marks in the device manager.

Of course I could install those remaining drivers manually, but why should I? why can't they just install themselves in the first place, like it's supposed to?

Is my dvd broken? am I doing something wrong?

Not necessarily. Try to manually install them, and if that doesn't work, then there is a problem.

I currently running the installation routine one more time to see, if the remaining drivers get installed.

It still bugs me, that I have to this. Why can't it just work like it's supposed to?

I tried the whole thing multiple times and it's always the same ****...

I mean, c'mon HP, how hard can it be to make a working driver dvd?
