    internet problems HP dv6000

    here's an interesting problem: I cannot connect to the internet, wireless or wired, at all. Everything seems to be working fine, computer says I'm connected, I can use AIM and other messenger services, it pings, just no working internet browsers; the pages all show up as unavilable or "error loading page". Drivers seem to be working fine as well, with the exception of one that requires updates, but I don't see how that could be a big issue in this case.

    Any suggestions?

    Router firewall? You didn't specify how you're connecting to the net.
