Intel Demonstrates WiMax Chipset for Notebooks

Intel is preparing for a WiMAX revolution with the unveiling of its new single-chip, multi-band WiMAX/WiFi radio.
Not only will WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e-2005) and WiFi (802.11n draft) be supported, but the chipset will also feature 3G connectivity by incorporating HSDPA.Intel is currently in the process of validating the module and hopes to sample the card by the end of 2007.

When are they going to release UWB? Intel has been working on that for a while. It will be some time before we see WIMAX fully implemented.
