is there a difference between the HP Pavilion dv6000t and the HP Pavilion dv6345us? when i click on the dv6000t link on the notebook review homepage, the product sold area shows the dv6345us. why is there a change in the model?
circuit city is selling the dv6345us for 800 but i cant seem to find any information on this model, so is it just the same?
    thanks for the help

Yes, they are the same. The dv6000t basically can only be gotten from HP's website as a customizable model. Any other prebuilt system has a number such as the 6345. There are lots of other numbered models and they are all basically the same thing with the only difference being the features offered in that particular model number. What is really important for you to look at would be to make sure that they system you are looking at has the specs you want such as CPU, GPU, etc. Good luck and happy computing!

I also believe it depends on where they are selling a particular model will the numbers and letters change on that model.

The different numbers are for the stores like Best Buy, Circuit City who like to make minor changes such as one notebook will have a different cpu, another will have a different graphic card, yet another will have more or less memory and so on. Also, they like to make these changes RAPIDLY so they can keep the price up and not drop any as the notebook value drops the minute you walk out of the store with them. The letters at the end tell which country the notebook is sold or shipped to.

just like what everyone else said, it's just a pre-built model of the dv6000t series. i just bought the dv6345us from circuit city last night and i'm happy with my purchase. i'm just gonna wait for the rebate then buy 2gigs of RAM. today i'm gonna do a clean install of vista coz hp put so much bloatwares and hp crap on their notebooks.
