It should be faster than the P4 3GHz, actually, and have WAY better battery life. You might want to check this past Sunday's Office Depot newspaper ad, they have build-to-order zv6000's on sale. That will let you configure 128MB dedicated memory video, 12 cell battery, Bluetooth, a 5400RPM HD, whichever CPU you want (as fast an Athlon 64 as you want to pay for), etc. It takes about two weeks to get one though and you have to go to an Office Depot store to do the configuration.
I took my zv5000z (last year's model) to campus several times. Worked great. Having the 12 cell battery is nice, that gets you 3-4 hours of battery life, about 50% more than with the standard 8 cell. -
i would have to say yes it is a good deal 64 3500+ 1 gig of ram and pci express graphics i would buy it at that price

Sure, get an Acer Ferarri 4000. They're a wee bit more expensive though ($2,150 at zipzoomfly.com) [
]. For the money the zv6000 is very tough to beat.
is this a good deal/good notebook?
