    it is ok uninstall bloatware using cccleaner ?

    i can't reformat my notebook and install a clean windows , coz i don't have XP cd for the clean install .
    so i want to remove the bloatware manually , i saw another thread that we can't do a clean remove the bloatware using add/remove program from windows

    so how about remove the bloatware using ccleaner ?
    can we do a clean remove using ccleaner uninstall ??

    well most bloatwar such as toolbars and free trials can be removed via the add remove programs optio but be sure to clean the registry after your done using a software like registryscrub or ccleaner abt the ones you can remove via add remove programs i aint sure lol

    I removed Office Trial via Add/Remove but I still had short cut to it and all the files and directories for the install on my drive. so there more involved then just add/remove programs.

    yes , i knew from your thread we can't do a clean uninstall using add/remove program :)

    so anyone had an experince about uninstall directly from ccleaner , my friend told me that it was really clean uninstall
    he was using all the time to remove the bloatwear just only with ccleaner

    about the SATA , sorry i don't know what is slipstreme :confused: , and i don't think a have the CD , hp only give me recovery dvd :)

    Try calling HP to get a cd. It will save you the hassel of manually removing all the bloatware

    i only use ccleaner when the application is not on the Add/Remove list and it works fine... then i clean the registry (also with ccleaner)
