    hello notebookreview people!
ive lurked this site many times before but only got to join today because i just purchased my first laptop - an hp pavilion dv6700t.

now ive got a few noob questions.. please help me out..

    1. i have filled up the registration page (offline) then during the registration, i read something that says 'your registration would be sent when you go online' someything like that.. when i finally got online, i received no confirmation of my registration being sent to hp.. am i supposed to receive a confirmation or does hp silently sends my registration without informing me?

    2. i read in the manual that i have to create recovery disks. how many disks do i need to prepare if i am going to use 4.7gb capacity dvd+r.

    3. is the recovery disk that i need to create the same as the recover file that i have seen in the drive d partition?

    thanks in advance!

    Kamusta

    1) The same thing happened to me, doesnt really matter though. Its just registration. You will still have warranty service and support even if you dont register. Call up HP if you want

    2) 2-3 discs

    3) Yes, but the dvd's will be better

If you use DVD's, then it will take 3 dvds to make the recovery disks.

Registration, I did online. or maybe you can call them to register it.

Mine only needed 2 discs, but ive noticed some neeeded 3 maybe due to the image size. Have 3dvd+r's just incase.
