    just got my new hp dv6z-7200 really like it so far i removed some stuff but there so much crap on here what else can i remove? also i have a genuine copy of windows 8 pro that i got for free.

    Should I remove more? Some stuff idk if its ok to remove or wipe the hd and reinstall windows 8 pro?

    Whatever you do, be sure to save the swsetup folder as it contains all the drivers and installed software. You may want to store the license of some of the commercial software that you may like before doing a clean install.

    Ok how can I get all my drivers and save them or copy them to a disk?

    Just save the SWsetup folder. You can drag the folder to the drive you want to save it on. If you already deleted that folder, you can go on HP's website and download them.

    Go to hp.com and click the link at the top "support and drivers" then enter in your model. They should have them all. Whatever you may be missing, you can find online - usually from the part/subsystem manufacturer's website.

    Alright thanks I havent done anything yet I deleted some stuff but some stuff idk if I should delete or what it is anyways should I just keep what I have or wipe hd and reinstall os?

    You're in luck, HP offers a built-in minimal Windows 8 reinstall that removes almost all of the bloatware, check out this video I did as a tutorial (it uses Windows 7, but Win 8 models offer the same):



    Essentially you restore the machine and use the "minimal install" option and you'll get a factory image minus all the silly applications and games you'll never use, just essential utilities.
