    howdy folks,

working with on an hp pavilion dv2000, running win XP, has plenty of open mem, and cpu. notice that when i unplug the external keyboard to use the usb port for some other periph, that the keyboard on the hp has remapped itself. i'm not sure if it's a heat issue, but the laptop being only 8 months old shouldn't be giving me grief this soon. it is running hot though, has sense the day i bought it.

any ideas on where/what i would check to track down the errors i'm getting? just need a starting point. looked through the threads here and didn't find any posts prior on this particular issue. if this has in fact been asked before then i missed it somewhere.

    thanky kindly
    kat
