during typing, ill hear a toot sound and boom, keyboard, numpad and touch sensitive media key stops working. My usb mouse still works though. A restart fixes this problem. i have no idea wat is causing this. Since restarting fixes this problem, my bet would be driver problems of some sort...

A look into the hardware manager showed this

It looks like HP Quick Launch Buttons is not installed on your computer. You can try the latest version and see if it solves your problem:

    Version: 6.50.18.1
    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp49001-49500/sp49456.exe

The HP Quick Launch Buttons will install a driver for the keyboard. Also you might want to see and make sure that none of the keys on your keyboard are stuck.

I think keyboard filter doesn't have a driver - HP 8510w Win 7. My click on "apply this fix" of Troubleshooting from Device Manager could not fixed this error.
