i have the ze4610us laptop that takes the pc2100 memory. Will the pc2700 memory work in it(besides running at the pc2100 speed) and can memory be mixed? (using a stick of pc2100 and stick of pc2700)

Generally there won't be a problem. Most RAM is backwards compatible.. I have one stick of PC2700 and one stick of PC3200 running @ PC2100 and it's perfectly stable.
