I received my second v4000t after the first one was returned due to a defective touchpad.

I could swear that the lcd is different! It seems sharper especially when playing games and doesn't seem as hard to find a good viewing angle.

HOWEVER, there are some noticable horizontal lines on a grey (or similar colored) backround.

I thought I remember reading a comparison review on the dv4000 vs v4000, with the reviewer saying that the screens displayed different characteristics. So, my question is, does hp use different lcd brands or is my lcd just a freak of nature?

I've noticed differences in the screens when looking at various dv 4000 models in compusa. I'm guessing they must use different manufacturers.
