    Hello,

I got arround opening up a pack of memorex DVD+R's 16x rated. When i loaded one of the discs into the drive it found it as a CD  I tried other dvd-r media and they work. But seems that this drive has problems reading it. Are there any firmware flashes for this drive? or even a work around for +r DVD media?

yeah try downloading the firmware/drivers for both the lightscribe drive and Lighscribe Host software. This might give you more support. Also try a different brand just incase

Mines the opposite, it doesnt like -R's when i first got it but it might be different now since i did the clean install and updated the software
