    limiting DVMT max?

    Absent a BIOS entry for DVMT, are there any arcane driver settings or registry edits I could use to limit the max memory grabbed for DVMT?

    The machine in a G70 with Intel G45 (4500MHD) graphics.

    It'll only use the memory when it needs to, not like you would game on an intel integrated anyway. Besides, RAM is really cheap nowadays and you can easily get some more. If you'd be running 128MB of RAM, i could see the concern, but otherwise there is no reason to bother with it. Most likely your laptop came with 2GB RAM, in which case the amount allocated to the integrated graphics chipset is a non-issue.
