when i used to log in it would be the user names on the right of the screen and you would click them and their little pictures to log in with passwords or even use the finger print scanner, obviously iv ****ed up with some setting because now it is the hp log in screen with the small university like box to sign in with passwords. any ideas how i can change this?

hi have u made sure that "use the welcome screen" was checked? If not then :

    1. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.

    2. Click "Change the way users log on or off".

    3. Click to check the "Use the welcome screen for fast and easy logon" check box.

    4. Click OK.

Another thing that may be causing it is that "Fast User Switching" service might have been disabled. If this is the case then i think that's what's causing the Welcome screen to not show up.
