    every time i press WINDOWS+L to log of for a second and then log back on, after a couple seconds, the screen goes black for about 1 second, sort of like its refreshing or something. is this normal? does it happen to any of you?

    happens to me yes, actually whenever I first boot up my computer the screen has to refresh for my app launcher gadget and the wireless tray icon to work properly, not sure why.

    I suspect it is what Vista does when it runs a single-threaded 16-bit app.
