I was playing around in the sound in the audio settings and i wanted to see if SPDIF would work with my speakers. So I disabled the internal speaker playback device and only left SPDIF. I thought it worked but now I have no control at all over volume and shockingly the internal/headphone icon has disappeared! How do I bring it back? And I turned off system restore :(

Looking at the picture...there used to be an additional object under playback devices with a headphones icon that was labeled internal speakers/headphones. I also have the sound muted as shown but the music is still playing.

    I hope I didn't F up too bad...

I'm thinking about reinstalling the device but how would I go about doing that?
