so i'm an itunes user and i noticed that those buttons only work when i have my itunes box openned, but when i used wmp i could have the player minimized and still be able to use those functions is it possible for me to make it so that i can use those buttons when itunes is in the background?

    thanks

    very simple: locate

    C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins

and unzip this file and upload it in there
    restart itunes
    done!

I thought the quickplay buttons did it automatically? I use Mediamonkey, zune and WMP and the buttons all work for those apps in the background

    Nevertheless, great find!

I've just gotten a HP dv6920 with Vista :)P) and I can't find App Data. Does anyone know if there's anywhere else I can put this file to achieve the same effect? IT'S ANNOYING!!! What good are shiny buttons if they don't work!

And on another note, Vista just told me I didn't have permission to access a file.

ON MY OWN COMPUTER. Holy crap. It's sleek and pretty, but it's one bossy robot commander...

you can either type it in to the address box or show hidden folders from folder options.

Thank you Mr. Brights! It took me a good while to locate the file location (thanks to Vista's excellent "security" measures). Alas, I did find it and this worked like a charm. :D
